Hello folks,
I hope and pray that you are all safe and well during these difficult times. Since we are not able to meet up and worship together at present, it is great that technology allows us to hear sermons, listen to worship music, and NOW we can worship our great GOD through our tithes and offerings online.
With the approval of our Church Board, and with the help of the Treasurer, Cam Lawrence, and Assistant Treasurer, Arnold Adams, we have set up a method of donating to our church by doing an eTransfer to donation.chfbc@bellnet.ca.
You simply logon to your online banking:
- Select “Send an Interac eTransfer“
- You select the FROM account (account you want the donation drawn from)
- The TO account should say “INTERAC eTransfer”
- Enter the amount you wish to donate
- Submit & Continue & then
- Enter Name “CHFBC” (optional: if you also select “Add this recipient to Payee List” the first time, it will show up in the Payee list for future donations)
- Enter the Email Address donation.chfbc@bellnet.ca
- Then select Continue
- Confirm the information on the screen and then in the Message Field, enter your full name with middle initial and envelope number (if you don’t have an envelope number, please enter your mailing address). The funds will go into the General Fund unless you indicate one of the other approved funds. This will allow you to get a charitable donation receipt for tax purposes at year end.
- Select Confirm and your done.
Please note that the above steps were presented using an RBC bank account. There may be some variations if you use a different bank. Most banks do not charge a service fee depending on the account type you use. Your donation will be automatically deposited into the church bank account and the Envelope Secretary will ensure that your donation is recorded for a charitable donation receipt.
For those who do not have online access, or those who prefer the old-fashioned approach, we still accept donations by cheques.
You can mail your cheque payable to CHFBC along with a note that includes your full name with middle initial and envelope number (if you don’t have an envelope number, please enter your mailing address).
