CALEDON HILLS FELLOWSHIP

Sunday Service

Welcome to Caledon Hills Fellowship

We realize that visiting a church for the first time can be a little daunting, if not intimidating, but our desire is to warmly greet you with the love of Jesus. Our worship service is from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Presently, we are also live streaming our Sunday worship services from our CHFBC YouTube Channel. We want you to know that we are available for you — to answer questions, to help you connect to others, to be your “road in” as you learn more about Caledon Hills Fellowship and seek to discover if God is leading you here to be a part of this community of believers. Read on to learn a little more about what to expect.

Our Children

Children can be checked into both our Nursery and Toddler-aged classes as early as 10:20 am (birth to 4 years old). Families are encouraged to worship together for roughly the first half hour of the service. Then our Sunday School (up to Grade 8) is dismissed for its classes. Children, who are Sr. kindergarten-aged or older are invited to be part of the entire worship service if desired. Feel free to ask one of our Greeters or Ushers for direction.

NOTE: For safety reasons, children are not released from their classes until they are physically retrieved by a parent or a recognized and parent-authorized adult. We do request that parents “pick-up” their children promptly from Sunday School, so that the teachers can join us in our after-service time of fellowship, and that parents supervise their children during the fellowship time.

Our Music

As those who have come to know God’s forgiveness, we love to sing His praises. Together, as a church, we want to give glory to God for the grace He has shown to us through Jesus Christ. We do this through a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses, all declaring the truth of who God is and what He has done. While we have a variety of musicians and vocalists assisting us, the main “instrument” of our singing is the congregation, as we lift our collective voices together in worship to God. Ironically, although our corporate worship is for God’s glory, we find that our deepest needs are met.

Our Preaching

We believe that God yet speaks today through His Word and each Sunday we anticipate hearing from Him. Therefore, the main event of our Sunday morning worship is the preaching of God’s Word. Rather than simply hearing the preacher’s ideas on a topic, his intent will be to open up the Bible and help us come to understand its relevance for our lives. If you don’t have a Bible, we are happy to provide one for you. Please talk to Pastor Bill. Our hope is that in hearing God’s Word and receiving it by faith, you would encounter God Himself, in all of his glory and goodness.

Our Fellowship

Please grab a coffee in the front foyer on your way in and pick up a church bulletin from an Usher. Following each Sunday service we provide a time of refreshments and get-together in our Overflow Room. We also have monthly potluck luncheons to which all visitors are welcome to attend. We’d love to host you.

Our Communion

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. In partaking of the bread and the cup, we remember how our Lord gave his body and blood for our salvation, and has united us together into one Body.

Stay to Get to Know Us

After the service, we hope you will stick around and give us a chance to get to know you. Our members enjoy staying to talk with visitors and catch up with friends, so feel free to introduce yourself to someone around you. Also, feel free to browse our church library and pick up literature in the front foyer. Just let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.
