Membership at Caledon Hills Fellowship
“What is the difference between being a member and just attending?”
Many people ask “Why should I become a member of Caledon Hills Fellowship?” or “What is the difference between being a member and just attending?” These are good questions. You might never be a member of a church and still be a true follower of Jesus Christ. Just as a wedding ceremony does not create love and marriage, neither does church membership incorporate one into the church body, but just as a wedding ceremony makes that love and marriage public and responsible, so church membership is an expression of a spiritual reality and it helps our church function responsibly. The Bible consistently implies church membership and there are good biblical and practical reasons for joining a church.
At one level, membership says: “I belong to the CHFBC family.” By becoming a member, you fully identify yourself with the Caledon Hills Fellowship of believers. Membership has its privileges: you will feel 100% part of what is happening at CHFBC, and we will count it a privilege to have you as part of the growing team of ministering people here at CHFBC. We are all together in the process of becoming more like our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
